Why would our city council do something like this to residential areas? It sure seems like they do not care about this side of the freeway! There are lots of other areas to develop a stinky site like this! Why would this be placed in the middle of housing developments? Meridian is growing so fast, so many houses, but in the middle of things, we put a sticky dump! REALLY?? This is horrible! You just made our beautiful little city a dump area! At least our side of the freeway will be considered that, this is horrible! You sold out the people! We will not be voting for you again. What a horrible thing to do to all the beautiful neighborhoods, but this side of the freeway is just not important enough to be considered valuable! Instead you put a DUMP in the middle of housing! What horrible representation! I am so disappointed in our city council, but you really don't care what we voters on this side of the freeway think, do you! Please reconsider this dump area, it is not something that should be developed right in the middle of housing. Our property values will go down when people realize living on this side of the freeway is a stinky dump. Please reconsider! Thank you for listening. Due to the fact that there are still some process steps still to take place to finalize the action taken by council last night, I’m unable to continue a discussion outside a public hearing on the matter at this time. However, I wanted to let you know that half of us on city council live south of the freeway, and I personally grew up south of the freeway. We care about every inch of the city and I look forward to a continued discussion after everything is finalized and off the record discussions become appropriate.
