Description
Annexation and zoning of 108.76 acres of land with R-8 zoning district and a conditional use
permit for an education institution in and R-8 zoning district for Owyhee High School
Applicant West Ada School District
The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) reviewed the annexation, zoning, and conditional use permit applications
and has the following comments:
1. This project does not abut the current State highway system.
2. Applicant is aware this project is near the future extension of State Highway 16 and is working with ITD to
accommodate the future project.
3. Idaho Code 40-1910 does not allow advertising within the right-of-way of any State highway.
4. IDAPA 39.03.60 rules govern advertising along the State highway system. The applicant may contact
Justin Pond, Program Manager for ITD’s Headquarters Right-of-Way Section at (208) 334-8832 for more
information.
5. ITD does not object to the annexation and zoning as presented in the application. ITD recommends that the
applicant continue to work with ITD staff on access concerns for the conditional use permit.
