RE: Application H-2018-0042
We are writing to express our opposition to Application H-2018-0042 concerning the
Amendment to the Development Agreement to expand the current recycling business at the
corner of Locust Grove and Columbia roads.
Over the last few years, the garbage operation on the corner has gotten larger and larger. This
is not the place for a dump. A dump should be far from people's homes, not right in the middle
of a neighborhood.
We feel the expansion of the recycle plant will have several negative effects on our property,
such as:
Increased unpleasant odors
increased noise
Increased traffic
Increased unsightly piles of debris
Increased pests (rodents, mosquitos, flies, etc.)
Weare also concerned about the contamination of our water table and the possible negative
effect on, our property value. Right now the hills are nice and green. We don't want hills made
out of garbage.
We hope you'll consider the effect this will have on our families and our future and that you will
find that trash and garbage recycling don't mix with middle to upper scale family homes.
