Subject:Timber Creek Recycling hearing July 17,2018 (H-2018-0042)
Our names are T. David and Kathy Holley. We have been residents at 7850 S Locust Grove Rd Meridian ID for the past 25 years. We live east and
directly across from Timber Creek Recycling. We support the Amendment to the Development Agreement submitted by Michael Murgoitio.
When we moved to 7850 S Locust Grove Rd in 1993; the site now occupied by Timber Creek Recycling was a functioning dairy. We realized we
would have a problem with flies the day after our new house was painted and it was already covered with fly feces. This continued throughout the
life of the dairy and lessened a little when it was converted to a feedlot. Since Timber Creek Recycling began, we have had no fly problem at all. The
current operation at Timber Creek has improved the appearance of the site. It has been clear of trash and without any odor. Old buildings have been
removed and the area has been gated. We are pleased with the operation. We also support recycling and believe this is a good business to have in
our rural neighborhood.
As the former director of Central District Health Department, Kathy Holley is confident that the site plan has been thoroughly revie wed by both DEQ
and the Health Department. Composting and mulching pose little or no risk to the ground water.
Sincerely,
T. David Holley
