The Texaco pylon (primary identifier) and fuel island canopy are the first elements of Texaco's overall retail facility graphics that passing
motorists notice. That first visual impression should communicate the high level of quality and professionalism customers already associate
with the Texaco brand. Consistency of design and construction will enhance customer recognition throughout our marketing areas. The
ideal Texaco canopy is shown below. The graphic elements of the Star 21 canopy, regardless of dimensions, are the Texaco Star Symbol,
the Texaco Logotype, the Red Gradation (against the Star Symbol) and the internally illuminated Red Accent Band.

Canopy: What to Avoid
Do not change the sizes of either of the canopy elements.
Do not change the colors of either of the canopy elements.
Do not use the canopy for any sales messages of any kind.
The objective of logo placement on the canopy is to place the
Texaco Logotype closest to the main traffic flow. However, neither
the Logotype nor the Star should appear twice on any single
corner, If there is no traffic behind the facility, then the back of the
canopy does not require any identifying graphics.

of the canopy. This rule applies to all retail facilities, new or retrofits.
