In regards to the application for a sign permit for Cookies and Cream, located at 2032 E. Overland
Road, Suite 100, please note the following:
• A Planned Sign Program is in effect for Majestic Marketplace West.
• The PSP requires exterior signs be individual channel letters. The design of the sign for
Cookies and Cream meets the general intent of this requirement through its raised,
individual lettering.
• Wall signs in a C -G zone may be indirectly or internally lit (Defined as: Lighting for which
the source of light is located in such a manner that the light must travel through a
translucent material other than the bulb or tube necessary to enclose the light source,
which material has the effect of dispersing the light before it strikes the eye of the
viewer.) (City of Meridian Unified Development Code Table 11-3D-5).
• Direct lighting is prohibited.
• Per the above-mentioned PSP, Gooseneck lamps are acceptable to complement non -
illuminated signs.
