RECOMMENDATION TO CITY
COUNCIL
The property is located on the west side of Meridian Road 1/2 mile north of Ustick
Road, Meridian.
The owner of record of the subject property is G.L. Voigt Development of Idaho
Falls.
Applicant is Briggs Engineering on behalf of G.L. Voigt Development.
The subject property is within the city limits of the City of Meridian.
The entire parcel of the property is included within the Meridian Urban Service
Planning Area as defined in the Meridian Comprehensive Plan.
The application requests the easement vacation because a duplicate easement has
been dedicated at a mutually agreed location.
There are no significant or scenic features of major importance that affect the
consideration of this application.
The applicant obtained notarized approval of the easement vacation from affected
utilities.
RECOMMENDATION
The Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission hereby recommends to the City
Council of the City of Meridian that they approve the easement vacation, subject to the
Public Works Department's approval of the alternate routing of the White Drain Tnmk
Line through the subject parcel as part of the construction contract.
