The Meridian City Council special meeting was called to order at 5:00 P.M. on
Tuesday, August 22, 2017, by Council President Keith Bird.
Members Present: Keith Bird, Joe Borton, Ty Palmer, Anne Little Roberts,
Genesis Milam and Luke Cavener.
Staff Present: C.Jay Coles, Bill Nary.
Item 1: Roll-call Attendance:
Roll call.

Item 2. Adoption of the Agenda:
Borton: Mr. President, I move we adopt the agenda as published.
Milam: Second.
Borton: Actually, let me make an amendment to the agenda. We’re going to add
under the executive session an additional sub-category under Idaho Code
section 74-206(1)(c). And with that addition to the agenda I move that we adopt
the amended agenda.
Milam: Second.
Bird: We’ve got a motion to adopt the amended agenda and a second. All in
favor say aye.
ALL AYES. MOTION CARRIED.
Item 3. Amended Executive session per Idaho State Code 74-206(1)(j):
To consider labor contract matters authorized under section
67-2345A [74-206A](1)(a) and (b), Idaho Code and 74-206(1)(c):
To acquire an interest in real property which is not owned by
a public agency.
Borton: Mr. President, I move we go into Executive Session pursuant to Idaho
State Code 74-206(1)(j) and (1)(c) and (1)(a) and (1)(b).

Milam: Second
Bird: I have a motion. Any discussion? Mr. Clerk will you call roll call?
ALL AYES. MOTION CARRIED.
(Executive session at 5:03 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Bird: Do I have a motion to come out of executive session?
Milam: So moved.
Bird: Do I have a second?
Cavener: Second.
Bird: Got a motion to come out of Executive Session and a second. Any
discussion? If not everybody in favor say aye.
ALL AYES. MOTION CARRIED.
Bird: I would entertain a motion to adjourn the special meeting.
Borton: So moved.
Cavener: Second.
Bird: Got a motion to adjourn and a second. All in favor say aye.
ALL AYES. MOTION CARRIED.
MEETING ADJOURNED AT 6:00 P.M.
