The Meridian City Council special meeting was called to order at 5:00 P.M. on
Tuesday, August 15, 2017, by Mayor Tammy de Weerd.
Members Present: Tammy De Weerd, Keith Bird, Joe Borton, Ty Palmer,
Genesis Milam and Luke Cavener.
Staff Present: C.Jay Coles, Bill Nary.
Item 1: Roll-call Attendance:
Roll call.

Item 2. Adoption of the Agenda:
Bird: I move we adopt the agenda as published.
Borton: Second.
De Weerd: A motion and a second to approve the agenda as published. All
those in favor say aye.
ALL AYES. MOTION CARRIED.
Item 3. Executive session per Idaho Code section 74-206(1)(a): To
consider hiring a public officer, employee, staff member or
individual agent, wherein the respective qualities of
individuals are to be evaluated in order to fill a particular
vacancy or need. .
Bird: I move we go into Executive Session as per Idaho State Code 74-
206(1)(a).
Borton: Second.
De Weerd: I have a motion and a second to go into Executive Session. All those
in favor say aye.
ALL AYES. MOTION CARRIED.

Bird: I move we adjourn the Executive Session.
Borton: Second.
De Weerd: I have a motion and a second to come out of Executive Session. All
those in favor say aye.
ALL AYES. MOTION CARRIED.
Bird: Move to adjourn..
Borton: Second.
De Weerd: A motion and a second to adjourn. All in favor.
ALL AYES. MOTION CARRIED.
