HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC - ITD December 12, 2017 C.Jay Coles Meridian City Clerk’s Office 33 East Idaho Avenue Meridian, Idaho 83642 VIA EMAIL RE: H-2017-0150 FP CASTLECREEK SUBDIVISION The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) has reviewed the referenced final plat application for Castlecreek Subdivision consisting of 19 single-family residential lots and five (5) common lots submitted by Kent Brown Planning Services for Northwest Ventures LLC. The property is located at 2432 E. Amity Rd., Meridian, Idaho 83642, east of SH-69 milepost 7.20. ITD has the following comments: 1. This project does not abut the State highway system. 2. The City is reminded that the I-84 and SH-69 (Meridian Road) corridors are already congested. This project will increase the number of vehicle trips in these corridors. As the City continues to add additional trips to these corridors through development, the congestion will worsen until the roadway system ultimately is overloaded and fails. ITD has no current funding assigned to mitigate traffic congestion in the I-84 and SH-69 (Meridian Road) corridors in this area. 3. IDAPA 39.03.60 governs advertising along the State highway system. The applicant may contact Justin Pond, Program Manager for ITD’s Headquarters Right-of-Way Section at 334-8832 for more information. 4. Idaho Code 40-1910 does not allow advertising within the right-of-way of any State highway. 5. ITD does not object to the construction of a subdivision on the parcel.
