Overland Road between S. Topaz Way and S. Cloverdale Road 1, and ask that this correspondence be made a matter of record for the referenced meeting. My wife Barbara and I are residents of Muir Woods subdivision, which is located immediately to the south of the Movado subdivision. While we understand that the Movado development plan has already been approved by Meridian City, and that construction work has begun, we do have continuing concerns about the likelihood of increase vehicle traffic through Sutherland Farms and Muir Woods subdivisions as a direct result of the additional 762 dwelling units that may be constructed in the near future (430 in the original Movado, 112 in the modified Silverstone Apartments, 96 additional units in Movado Greens, and potentially 124 in the proposed Copper Point Apartments). We firmly believe that the lack of direct access from the Movado-area developments to South Cloverdale Road will result in many of the new residents using existing streets through Sutherland Farms and Muir Woods to access Cloverdale Road and/or Victory Road, and that such additional traffic will be a nuisance to existing residents as well as a danger to children and other pedestrians in the existing subdivisions. We ask that the City Council reconsider the request from residents of Muir Woods and Sutherland Farms to require the developer to provide (and ACHD to allow) direct vehicular access from Movado to South Cloverdale Road in order to minimize the amount of additional traffic that will make its way through the existing subdivisions. Thank you for your attention. Sincerely, Mark R. Kailer & Barbara L. King 2951 South Goshen Way Boise, ID 83709 +1.208.996.6197 (mobile) markrkailer@gmail.com (email)
