Subject:Movado Subdivision
I write concerning the Meridian City Council hearing slated to occur December 5, 2017 regarding the
referenced development. As currently approved, the development will include 526 single family homes, as well
as a 112 unit apartment complex. As currently configured the development has no direct access to Cloverdale
Road. I strongly believe that configuration places an undue burden on the subdivision of Muir Woods and
Sutherland Farms. Both subdivisions currently have significant traffic flow from non-residents utilizing the
subdivisions as pass throughs to access Eagle Road and Cloverdale. The additional traffic that will be generated
by the approved Subdivision will place tremendous additional flow through traffic on the referenced
subdivisions, already over-burdened with the existing traffic pattern. I respectfully request the Council consider
this burden and consider reasonable accommodation to mitigate the burden of Muir Woods and Sutherland
Farm subdivisions. It is my strongly held belief that reasonable mitigation include direct access to Cloverdale
from the Movado subdivision. Please note my concerns and ensure the same is conveyed to the full council at
the December 5, 2017 hearing.
Kind regards,
Larry Bateman
