Subject:Please put an entry/exit road from the the Movado development onto Cloverdale Road
Dear Mayor de Weerd and members of the Meridian City Council,
I am a 16-year resident of Muir Woods subdivision located at the corners of Cloverdale and
Victory. I request that you please reconsider your decision not to require an exit/entry road from
the Movado development onto Cloverdale Road. I understand that a significant amount of traffic
will be created by the addition of these new homes and recognize that generally speaking, that is
just the cost of development. However, what is not the natural cost of development is
inappropriately high volumes on some roads due to poor planning for access roads in new
developments. My understanding is that the children in Movado are slated to attend Pepper Ridge
Elementary School. This makes it highly likely that our subdivision will experience a significant
increase in traffic that was never originally planned for as residents of Movado understandably
make their way to the access road to Pepper Ridge. Please require the developer to put an access
road onto Cloverdale for the Movado subdivision. This will be better for both the residents of our
subdivision and the new residents of Movado.
