HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC - ITD November 30, 2017 C.Jay Coles Meridian City Clerk’s Office 33 East Idaho Avenue Meridian, Idaho 83642 VIA EMAIL RE: MERIDIAN H-2017-0148 FP SHELBURNE SUBDIVISION NO. 2 The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) has reviewed the final plat application consisting of 30 building lots and 7 (seven) common lots on 10.78 acres of land in the R-4 zoning District for Shelburne Subdivision No. 2 by Broken Land Design, Inc., representing Shelburne Properties LLC, located off South Eagle Road and East Zaldia Drive, south of I-84 milepost 46.50. ITD has the following comments: 1. This property does not abut the State highway system. 2. IDAPA 39.03.60 rules govern advertising along the State highway system. The applicant can contact Justin Pond, Program Manager for ITD’s Headquarters Right-of-Way Section at 334-8832 for more information. 3. Idaho Code 40-1910 does not allow advertising within the right-of-way of any State highway. 4. The City is reminded that the I-84 and SH-55 (Eagle Road) corridors are already congested. This project will increase the number of vehicle trips in the corridor. As the City continues to add addition trips to the corridor through development, the congestion will worsen until the roadway system ultimately is overloaded and fails. ITD has no current funding assigned to mitigate traffic congestion in the I-84 and SH-55 (Eagle Road) corridors in this area.. 5. ITD does not object to the construction of this project. If you have any questions, you may contact Shona Tonkin at (208) 334-8341or me at 332-7190. Sincerely, Ken Couch Development Services Coordinator Ken.Couch@itd.idaho.gov
