My name is Doug Stewart and I own more adjacent footage to the
proposed Linder Village than any of the complaining residents of
Paramount. Those folks who now want to preserve these two last pieces
of farm land forget that they now live on what was a corn field not long
ago. I've lived here longer than any of those folks, 41 years and if anyone
should have a complaint of changing life style it's us. I purchased this
property with the understanding that the zoning was such that this farm
land was going to be preserved and these 40's could be split but one time
with 5 acres being the smallest cut. Then development comes along as far
from Meridians core as you can get and I'm shown 5 acre parcels that at
least are consistent with existing properties. Paramount isn't exactly 5
acre parcels. Linder Village and my property are all that's left of a
lifestyle now ruined for us and it's time to move on and develop these
remaining parcels to a use that benefits the majority. The complainers are
the few who have houses on the fence line next to the proposed
development. When you buy property next to open fields they should
remember that their presence ruined someones life style when they
arrived, in this case ours! Lets move forward and get these last pieces of
land developed to finish the construction on this corner. A benefit to the
surrounding masses and the Meridian Tax Base.
