Broadway Avenue Meridian, Idaho 83642 VIA EMAIL RE: H-2017-0117 RAPID CREEK SUBDIVISION The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) has reviewed the referenced annexation, zoning, and preliminary plat applications by WHPacific for Rapid Creek Subdivision on a parcel located 1.3 mi south of US-20/26 (West Chinden Boulevard) milepost 35.16. ITD has the following comments: 1. This project does not abut the State highway system. 2. The City is reminded that the US-20/26 corridor is already congested. This project will increase the number of vehicle trips in the corridor. ITD has no current funding assigned to mitigate traffic congestion in the US-20/26 corridor in this area. 3. IDAPA 39.03.60 governs advertising along the State highway system. The applicant may contact Justin Pond, Program Manager for ITD’s Headquarters Right-of-Way Section at 334- 8832 for more information. 4. Idaho Code 40-1910 does not allow advertising within the right-of-way of any State highway. 5. ITD does not object to the construction of a subdivision on the parcel as presented.
