Dear Mayor de Weerd and City Councilors:
Thank you for your decision last evening to hear the applicant's apfeal on the above-
referenced applications. After the City Council announced the November 30' hearing date and I
had left the hearing room. I remembered that I have scheduled a family vacation for that week.
My wife and I are planning to visit our two college-age children, both of whom are studying this
semester on exchange programs in Great Britain.
For that reason, r would respectfully request the City Council to grant a continuance of
the appeal hearing until the next available date and agenda after November 30th. J spoke with the
City Attorney this afternoon, who told me that there will be no meeting on December 7'h, so I
understand the next possible date would be December 14th. depending on other agenda items
already scheduled. If the City Council grants this continuance, Vision First would offer to send
out a mailing to all of the neighborg who signed up to speak last evening notifying them of the
date change.
