I understand that a decision will be made this evening on Boise Hunter Home's (BHH) request to cram as many homes as possible into our neighborhood with little to no concern for the impact that will have going forward. I hope you will decide not to allow this to happen. My wife and I have lived in three different homes in Meridian since college - one in northwest Meridian near Black Cat and Cherry Lane and two in south Meridian in Tuscany and now in White Bark. We have also shopped for homes all over Ada and Canyon counties and all over Meridian including Lochsa Falls, Paramount, Saguaro Canyon, Bear Creek, Thousand Springs and everywhere in between. It is my experience that Meridian has a great many neighborhoods, including those mentioned above, with low- to mid-priced homes with tiny yards that are crammed into their respective areas. Conversely, there is very little inventory of existing homes or potential home sites within Meridian where a family can acquire a little bit of space. It would be extremely disappointing if the Council agreed to allow BHH to turn south Meridian into another unappealing area of high density homes, low green space, high traffic and crowded schools. What's wrong with a little bit of diversity? Please consider voting against the exceptions and variances that BHH has requested simply to make an extra buck. You don't have to allow it and the current residents of south Meridian are counting on you to do the right thing by voting against high density homes, high traffic, highly crowded schools and lower quality of life. Thank you! Paul Gozart White Bark Subdivision Resident
