RE: Proposed KINGSBRIDGE Subdivision

We are writing to express our opposition to the proposed Kingsbridge Subdivision per the
applications filed by Vision First, LLC (the "Applicant"), scheduled for hearing October 19,2004.
Weare owners and residents of the Dartmoor Subdivision. The Applicant is seeking annexation to
the City of Meridian of Lot 11, Block 2, Dartmoor Subdivision. Lot I I, Block 2 is deed restricted
on the recorded Plat and in the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, Restrictions and Easements for
Dartmoor Subdivision as agricultural open space for a period of not less than 15 years. Based on the
recorded documents and the representations of the developer of Dartmoor Subdivision, we have
relied upon the use restrictions on Lot I I, Block 2, as a prohibition on development until at least
March of 2009. Lot 11, Block 2 cannot be developed until that time, and the Dartmoor
Homeowners Association has submitted to the City a legal opinion in support of our position.
Furthermore, the proposed Kingsbridge Subdivision is not compatible with surrounding current land
use. All of the developed parcels surrounding proposed Kingsbridge are one acre or larger. The
current land use is rural in character with open rail fencing, minimal artificial lighting, no curbs or
sidewalks, and agricultural activities. Kingsbridge is a distinctly urban plan, and its imposition
directly adjacent to our small pastoral neighborhood without adequate transitional acreages will
negatively impact our rural quality of life. Dartmoor residents have repeatedly voiced numerous
concerns to the Applicant about the impact of Kings bridge on our land values and rural character, but
our concerns have not been adequately addressed by the Applicant.
Therefore, we respectfully request that the Application for Kingsbridge Subdivision be denied.
