Madam Mayor and City Council Members,
A serious concern has come to light regarding the above project. I had concerns regarding the longevity of the project for
a decision to be made. I made contact with a staff member in the planning and zoning departm ent regarding my concerns.
I was told by a P&Z staff member that this project was not a normal one. I then asked why and this was the response I
was given. After the P&Z recommendation of denial on 4/20/2017 the applicant told P&Z that he had once again met with
the residents of Kelly Creek and we as a group had changed our minds and we now were all in favor of both parts of the
project. This is untrue. The last time any resident of Kelly Creek met or spoke with the applicants unofficially or officially
was on March 30th at the Maui Wowi coffee shop in Meridian per the applicants request. Kelly Creek residents had some
recommendations after listening to John Carpenter speak. The recommendation fell on deaf ears and if the applicant had
worked with our recommendations I wouldn't be writing this today. I personally have complete faith and trust in the law
and the people who govern our growing city.
I am asking you keep the Lochsa Falls agreement in place and deny the applicants request regarding UDC table 11-2A-2
and send a message that it's not okay to commit fraud.
