Message To whom it concerns, I have heard a rumor that the Meridian city council is considering banning
home-based businesses. I hope that this is just a rumor, but as a home-based business owner
(Norwex consultant), I am deeply concerned about how this would negatively affect so many people
in the Meridian area, myself included. I cannot attend the meeting tonight, as my husband is
currently serving in the Idaho Army National Guard, doing annual training. However, I would like
my voice to be heard, and counted AGAINST this proposed ban. It would be absolutely devastating
to so many Meridian residents. I could be mistaken, but I am pretty sure that such a ban would
violate at least one of our constitutional rights. This type of ban would essentially be banning
entrepreneurship... something our country has always embraced. Without the ability to "think (and

work) outside the box", growth and ingenuity would be stifled. The results of such a ban would be
disastrous and widespread. I cannot believe such a ban would even be legal. Thank you for your
