Subject:Support For Home Based Businesses
Hello,
I would like it on the record that I am strictly opposed to the proposed ban on home based businesses, which I
understand is being discussed at the City Council meeting tonight.
Thousands of people that live in Meridian have some type of home based business. This proposal would take
away the livelihood of these individuals. I would like to know that reasoning behind this proposal.
Scentsy is one of the biggest employers in Meridian and they are a party plan business. They have thousands of
Consultants in Meridian. I can't even imagine how much they pay in taxes each year to the city of Meridian. Do
you really want to penalize an organization that has done so much for this community?
If this proposal passes, there will be many protesters and this would not reflect well on Meridian. If the proposal
passes, I myself will make sure I am very visible, letting everyone know how the city of Meridian treats its
citizens.
