Ms. Pollmann,
Thank you for your email and comments. I can understand your confusion at the vote’s outcome to approve the
application as presented to the Council. The original motion was to approve the project, which failed. However, because
the motion was to approve the project and was not to deny the project, this allows the Council to make subsequent
motions on the application. The subsequent motions were to reopen the public hearing and continue the project to
allow the applicant to work with planning staff to make changes to the application and bring it back before the Council
on June 6 for consideration. Since the project was continued, there will be no further mailed notices from the City about
the public hearing on June 6. However, it is scheduled for that date an d the meeting will begin at 6pm in our City Council
Chambers.
I have copied our Planning and Legal staff on this email – they might be able to provide further insight and clarification.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
C.Jay

Thank you for considering the residents concerns last night at the Council Meeting. We felt pretty confident the
City would stand by it's commitment to the Lochsa Falls Land Development Agreement.
We had some confusion last night at the end of the Vote. We understand the proposal failed, but are somewhat
confused how a Public Meeting could then be reopened on a dead Project Number and continued until June 6,
2017. We understood the Planning & Zoning staff to say that a partial re-zoning of the parcel would open up
the whole parcel to be rezoned at a later date? And that that, in fact, does break the Lochsa Falls Land
Development Agreement.
I guess we will find out as further notification goes out and what the Applicant is proposing.
Thank you again for your consideration over our concerns.
