RE: H-2017-0020 PP CAVEN RIDGE ESTATES EAST
The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) has reviewed the referenced preliminary plat application for Caven
Ridge Estates East located east of SH-69 (Meridian Road) milepost 8.00, south of Victory Road. ITD has the
following comments:
1. ITD does not object to construction of a subdivision on this parcel.
2. No access to the State Highway system is requested with this application and none is approved.
Connection to or modification of an existing access to the State Highway system will require a permit
from ITD.
3. Installation of any landscaping within ITD right-of-way will need to be addressed by ITD permit and
meet the requirements of IDAPA 39.03.42. Provisions shall be established for the responsibility of
future maintenance of any landscaping within ITD Right-of-Way.
4. The City is reminded that the SH-69 Corridor is already congested. This project will increase the
number of vehicle trips in the corridor. ITD has no current funding assigned to mitigate traffic
congestion in the SH-69 corridor in this area.
5. Idaho Code 40-1910 does not allow advertising within the right-of-way of any State highway system.
6. IDAPA 39.03.60 rules govern advertising along the State highway system. The applicant may contact
the ITD District 3 Traffic Section at 334-8300 for more information.
