The Mayor and City Council are not able to respond to you on this subject by email. They will address these issues when the project comes before them for a public hearing. Thank you for your input. Machelle Hill Deputy City Clerk Meridian City Clerk’s Office From: janie pollmann [ mailto:ljpollmann@gmail.com ] Sent: Monday, May 15, 2017 3:02 PM To: clerk Cc: Anne Little Roberts; Trevor Palmer; Genesis Milam; Joe Borton; Keith Bird; Luke Cavener Subject: GODDARD CREEK - H2017-0007 Dear City Council Member, I appreciate you taking time to read my letter in opposition to this proposed project. As you are aware, the community was able to show the Planning Commission several items that make this project incompatible with existing zoning and surrounding CC&R's, agreed to upon purchase of single family homes. I just purchased my home 2 years ago. I live directly across from the Selway apartments on Goddard Creek Way. I am also a Realtor with Silvercreek Realty and I did my due diligence before the purchase. I became aware that the vacant ground, directly south of the Selway apartments, was specifically identified so as to NOT be able to have high density housing built on it. That guarantee, within the Lochsa Falls CC&R's satisfied my questions about the vacant land and it's future development. I am very aware that zoning can and does change with the expansion of the population. I will feel betrayed by my City, if the Council goes above and beyond their responsibilities to the residents of Lochsa Falls and votes to change our CC&R's, with no regard to the voting rights vested in that document of 75% of residents needed to change the CC&R's. The City has no vested interest to change our CC&R's. I was distressed at the Planning & Zoning meeting at the eagerness of the "Staff" to give all deference to the Applicant and his project. Even going so far as to almost scolding the commission, that they were only there to vote on the asked for changes and code compliance!!! Okay, I get they work with developers every day. I get Meridian City does not want to be labeled as "hard to work with" or wish washy on projects but I was offended 2 at their PRO development stance instead of neutral 3rd party there for clarification and commission questions. The comment that kept coming up was "but it's such a nice looking project". Really? This project does not meet the requirements for the parcel it is proposed for and I urge yo to vote no on May 23rd. Thank you again for taking time to read my concerns. David M Pollmann 5030 N Goddard Creek Way Meridian ID 83646 208-577-7676 -- janiesellsre.com
