City of Meridian,
I am writing in regards to the approval of new office buildings at 2100 and 2160 W Everest Lane in Meridian.
I am a business owner at 2300 W Everest, Suite 150, so I am very close to this proposed development. I am not opposed
to the development of the land, but I would ask that you allow for adequate parking.
Where my business is located, almost every day we have traffic and parking issues, and it is getting worse all the
time. The parking lot is not sufficient for the number of people coming to the surrounding businesses, and on most
days, I don’t even have a place to park in front of my own business. Most every afternoon, cars are forced to park along
the south side of Everest because the entire parking lot is full. This is creating hazardous situations for people trying to
use Everest as a way to pick their children up from Challenger School. At least 1 day every week, cars are also parked on
the north side of Everest and the south side of Everest, creating basically a 1-way street, which is increasingly dangerous.
Please allow for adequate parking. The businesses that are already existing in this business park are suffering because of
inadequate planning for parking.
