Dear Mr. Conger,
Thank you for meeting last week with coalition representatives Kathi Baumgartner, David
Koga and Greg Sabala to discuss the revised plans for East Ridge Estates.
Although we were not able to reach a consensus regarding the plan's revisions during the
meeting, we would welcome the opportunity to meet with you again to further collaborate
on a plan that would be acceptable to all parties involved. We are hopeful that further
consideration and collaboration of the various options we discussed, particularly some of
the ideas at the end of the meeting, may serve as a basis for a mutually beneficial
compromise. We would also like to explore the viability of a new option as well - one that
utilizes a provision in the Comprehensive Plan,11-3G-3, which permits a smaller portion of
green space, 5%, in developments with 16,000 square foot lots.
We are confident that if we work together, we can develop a plan that not only
accomplishes your business objectives, but also truly embraces the unique identity of our
neighborhoods. It would be our pleasure to stand alongside as you present the revised
plan at a neighborhood meeting, as well as before Planning & Zoning and City Council.
Again, we thank you for your time and consideration of the concerns expressed by our
neighborhoods, and look forward to working together toward a successful resolution.
