Ustick Road. The property, currently in the process of being purchased by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is planned to have a 26,000 sq. ft. stake center constructed on it within the next year. The property is currently zoned "RUT", Rural Urban Transition, by Ada County. It is occupied with an existing residence and storage buildings, which will be removed. I am proposing the property be rezoned to an "LO" zone due to the nature of this project and in accordance with annexation and rezoning of the property for the existing LDS Stake Center at Blackcat and Cherry Lane (Ordinance #829) (City Tracking #AZ-99-003). We feel that the property, which currently borders the city limits, will be better served by the Meddian public agencies and will make all efforts to assist the City in coordinating and extending the necessary utilities to the site. I will see that the subject property is posted prior to all hearings as required and I have compiled this information which I believe to be accurate and true with the direct assistance of the current property owners.
