From: Jan Brockett [ mailto:jan@brockettrealestate.com ] Sent: Thursday, April 20, 2017 5:02 PM To: Bill Parsons Subject: Hearing on property corner of Curt Dr and Ustick Bill In regards to the hearing this evening for the property on the NE corner of Ustick and Curt Dr. my husband and I have no concern with annexing the property nor dividing the land into two parcels. My concern is the type of home being built. It is my understanding the these two properties will be occupied by women and children who are being or have been abused. Not the typical single family home that is the predominate use in this area Our concerns reflect this use 1. This is a very public location and easily located by anyone searching for one of the occupants. 2 What isthe plan for security for these women and children and who is responsible to implement and maintain the plan. Because there will be issues that could affect the occupants and the neighbors. 3. These women and children may need social services which are not located in Meridian. There is limited shopping within walking distance and no public transportation. If they own cars that could be an issue as well in the number of parked cars. 4 This parcel and the adjoining parcel are owned by the same person which leads me to assume that down the road there could be another request for additional single family homes, used as group homes, in the quise of single family homes. 2 5. Who is New Beginnings and what are there objectives. Those briefly are our concerns. Thank you Jim and Jan Brockett -- Right-click here to download pictures.
