We are concerned citizens who urge our Mayor and Members of City Council to act now to
preserve the Southern Rim for large estate lots consistent with the existing homes immediai
surrounding the proposed East Ridge Estates development. We hereby ask our Mayor and
Members of City Council to:
• Deny R-8 zoning as proposed for the East Ridge Estates Subdivision in order to
maintain characteristics of existing estate neighborhoods along Meridian's scenic
Southern Rim.
• Require minimum lot sizes that ensure a reasonable transition and continuity with the
neighboring estate homes of this proposed development. Existing single family
properties that surround this tract reflect a strong pattern of estate housing: 10 acres
to the west, 2 acres to the east, 2.5 to 5 acres to the south, and 1/z to 2 acres to the
north.
We are not asking that you stop the development, but only that you require large estate lots
that maintain continuity with the established estate homes immediately surrounding the
development on all four sides as well as all along the entire Southern Rim.

Petition to Deny R-8 Zoning
We, the undersigned residents of South Meridian are
ADAMANTLY OPPOSED TO THE R-8 ZONING
for East Ridge Estates Subdivision.
We are concerned citizens who urge our Mayor and Members of City Council to act now to
preserve the Southern Rim for large estate lots consistent with the existing homes immediately
surrounding the proposed East Ridge Estates development. We hereby ask our Mayor and
Members of City Council to:
• Deny R-8 zoning as proposed for the East Ridge Estates Subdivision in order to
maintain characteristics of existing estate neighborhoods along Meridian's scenic
Southern Rim.
Require minimum lot sizes that ensure a reasonable transition and continuity with the
neighboring estate homes of this proposed development. Existing single family
properties that surround this tract reflect a strong pattern of estate housing: 10 acres
to the west, 2 acres to the east, 2.5 to 5 acres to the south, and Y2 to 2 acres to the
north.
We are not asking that you stop the development, but only that you require large estate lots
that maintain continuity with the established estate homes immediately surrounding the
development on all four sides as well as all along the entire Southern Rim.

We are concerned citizens who urge our Mayor and Members of City Council to act now to
preserve the Southern Rim for large estate lots consistent with the existing homes immediately
surrounding the proposed East Ridge Estates development. We hereby ask our Mayor and
Members of City Council to:
Deny R-8 zoning as proposed for the East Ridge Estates Subdivision in order to
maintain characteristics of existing estate neighborhoods along Meridian's scenic
Southern Rim.
® Require minimum lot sizes that ensure a reasonable transition and continuity with the
neighboring estate homes of this proposed development. Existing single family
properties that surround this tract reflect a strong pattern of estate housing: 10 acres
to the west, 2 acres to the east, 2.5 to 5 acres to the south, and :V2 to 2 acres to the
north.
® Require the acquisition of irrigation rights rather than using city water to irrigate the
development.
We are not asking that you stop the development, but only that you require large estate lots to
maintain continuity with the established estate homes immediately surrounding the
development on all four sides as well as all along the entire Southern Rim.
