Ms. Freeman, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns about the proposed project at Goddard/McMillan. Your input is valued and I’m copying both the project Planner, Josh Beach, as well as the City Clerk, so your concerns can be considered by both staff and the decision makers. The concerns you listed below are taken seriously and will be considered as part of the record for this project. In addition to the written testimony you’ve provided, I would encourage you to attend the upcoming Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council meetings. This Thursday, April 20 th , at 6 pm at Meridian City Hall, the City’s P&Z Commission will most likely forward on their recommendation to the City Council on this project. The Commission heard this project previously and continued it to the 20 th so the applicant could address some of their concerns: density, parking, open space and amenities, and the vehicular entrance design. The Commission continued this project so the applicant could address those specific concerns. Regardless of the outcome this Thursday night, there will be another public hearing ran by the Mayor and City Council. This public hearing should occur approximately 30 days after the P&Z Commission makes their recommendation. Anyone wishing to testify will be given three minutes to address the Mayor and Council. After reading your e-mail, it sounds like you are familiar with what is being proposed at Goddard/McMillan. Should you have any questions about this project in particular though, I would encourage you to contact Josh Beach or his supervisor, Bill Parsons as they are more familiar with the project than I am (Note: Josh is out of the office until Wednesday). If you have any questions about the process or anything else related to land use planning, zoning or community development, feel free to contact me using my contact information below. Caleb C. If this has to be done we highly recommend that the storage units be closer to Goddard and the apartments further west. Also, we do not need any more entrances off of Goddard Way. There is an unfinished road further west which would be the logical entrance for both the apts. and storage units. We do not need anymore entrances off of Goddard as the traffic already gets very busy. Also, the schools are already way overcrowded and the extra kids from the apts. would only intensify that. Please seriously consider all of these points before giving the green light to these projects. As we all know, the developers are only interested in their pocketbooks and not our quality of life. Sincerely, Sandra Freeman
