Subject:Proposed Goddard Creek Apartments
04/11/2017
Re: Goddard Creek Apts
My husband and I own a home in the Kelly Creek Subdivision and would like to voice our opposition to the
proposed Goddard Creek Apartments.
The first we heard of this project was last week (4/6/2017) when we received a letter from our HOA. The
letter stated there had been a public hearing regarding this development on March 16 th and that the
developer failed to notify our HOA. Apparently the developer claims to have posted 2 signs on the subject
property. I drive past the subject lot on my way to and from work every weekday and only noticed a sign after
I was informed of its existence by our HOA. There is only one sign posted and it is not easily noticed. It is set
back from the street (McMillan) and is parallel to the street rather than perpendicular which would allow
passing motorists to more easily see and read it. My husband and I have, however, easily noticed, seen, and
read the sign stating the acreage is available because it is perpendicular to McMillan, close to the
McMillan/Goddard Creek intersection, and much closer to road than the sign posted by the developer.
The traffic from McMillan onto and from Goddard Creek is already significant and the addition of multi-family
residences and the associated vehicles will be overly burdensome to the existing roads and residents. If the lot
needs to be developed it should be done with another low traffic business (such as the storage facility already
planned) or single family homes to minimize the impact on the already established neighborhood.
As homeowners that would be affected by this proposed development and as taxpayers in your city, we
respectfully request you reject the proposal for the Goddard Creek Apartments.
Thank you,
David and Jennifer Blasko
