Planning & Zoning Approval for a DBSI Pylon sign on an undeveloped
part of the property
Dear Planning & Zoning Members:
We are requesting Planning & Zoning approval for one 23'-3" x 10'-0" internally
illuminated electric Pylon sign on behalf of DBSI Industrial, which is located at
920 Overland Road, Meridian, Idaho.
The proposed location of this sign is in a section of the Industrial/Technical Park
that DBSI has just started to develop. After talking with the planning
department and reviewing the current sign ordinance, it was determined that we
needed to do a variance because the parcel of land that this sign will occupy is
currently vacant and undeveloped. We believe this sign complies with the
general ordinance requirements in the area.
As you can see from the enclosed sketch, we believe that we have come up with
a design that will enhance the look of the property, allow DBSI to present the
desired image to the community, while still being sensitive to the surrounding
area.

The freeway side of this property was divided so that this particular section of
land did not have to be developed until construction was started. After
reviewing this with the planning depatb-,-tent, it was suggested that a variance be
done so that the new tenants could utilize freeway exposure.

In establishing a single sign for all tenants of the Industrial/Technical park to use
