Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District (NMID) has a Land Use Change Application currently on file for
this project. This project will affect NMID's Ridenbaugh Canal and Eight Mile Drain.
The District's Ridenbaugh Canal will border this project on the west and south sides. The easement for
the Ridenbaugh'Canal at this location is a minimum of one hundred feet (100'); fifty feet (50') from
centerline each direction. This easement must be protected.
Historically, this area has had ground water issues. We are concerned with fie new residential
subdivision planned for this area next to the canal in its current unlined condi,-";)n. Absolutely no
gradin below the Ridenbaugh Canal will be tolerated without the Districts written ctlnsent.
The Eight Mile Drain runs through the center of this property with and easement of sixty feet (60');
thirty feet (30') from centerline each direction. NMID will withhold further comment until we are
finished with our review.
All private laterals and .waste ways must be protected. All municipal surface drainage must be retained
on-site. If any surface drainage leaves the site, NMID must review drainage plans. Developers must
comply with Idaho Code 31-3805.
