Subject:Firenze Plaza Development
To Whom it May Concern:
I'm writing to express my concerns about the proposed development at the corner of Amity and Eagle (Firenze Plaza). I live on the
corner of Montague and Mount Etna.
I guess I have to ask the question, why is a residential neighborhood being asked to compensate for this new developments' traffic
concerns? It's simply not our problem. It shouldn't be built unless it is able to stand on its own. It will change our neighborhood with
the increase in traffic, noise and pollution. More importantly, increased traffic endangers the hundreds of kids who live, play and
enjoy the safe streets of our neighborhood.
After living in Meridian for two years I wish we had made a different decision. Many families are moving out of this community. Th e
traffic in Meridian is rapidly increasing. I have seen it in the two short years I have lived here. There are hundreds of homes being
built to the South of us along Eagle Road along with a new YMCA and other possible developments. Several homes in Tuscany have
already been put on the market with many others to follow. Is this a community friendly development? Is this a family friendly
community?
I appreciate you hearing just a few of my concerns.
Sincerely,
Karter Raine
