Caleb Hood, My name is David Feldman (and wife Melissa Feldman) and we live at 4304 S. Da Vinci Way. I am writing due to my concern over the construction of the new Albertson’s and shopping center on the corner of Eagle and Amity. I am strongly against this project because I feel it will have a negative impact on the surrounding neighborhood – particularly those of us in the East portion of the Tuscany subdivision. From my understanding the plans state that there will be multiple access roads built that lead into the Tuscany subdivision from Firenze Plaza or Eagle Road. Mount Etna/Da Vinci is one of these planned “connection” roads. This will SIGNIFICANTLY increase the traffic on a road that is now experiencing minimal traffic. The majority of this street is made up of young families with kids that play outside all the time. With the increase of traffic, it will become much more dangerous for these kids. I am a parent with two young children that ride their bikes and scooters and play sports in the front yard all the time. I purchased this house because of the location away from traffic and DO NOT want increased traffic on my street! 2 It is also my understanding that in addition to the Albertson’s there will be other “bar and grill” establishments. While I have no problem with these businesses… I do not like the idea of my street now being a main connection road for people to drive to and from these types of businesses, knowing that the probability and chance of drunk driving is increased at this specific location RIGHT next to my home. I feel that IF there is a plaza built, there should not be access roads into Tuscany. It’s simply too dangerous for the kids, it will drive down the value of our property because we are now on a “Busy” street, and it will bring many more strangers and traffic through our neighborhood. I would like to add my voice to the numerous others I’ve talked to: PLEASE DO NOT BUILD THIS PLAZA AND RUIN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD! We have a Rite-Aid right up the street now for any “last minute or emergency” items or food. We have multiple other grocery stores within 5 minutes. We don’t need this commercial area in our backyard. Thank you for your consideration of our opinion. Kind Regards, David & Melissa Feldman
