CITY CLERKS OFFICE
To Whom It May Concern,
We are the Gillmores and we reside in the Packard Estates subdivision at 2147 E. Kamay Dr. in
Meridian, Idaho.
In our absence, we are submitting this letter to voice our concerns and our objections to parts of
the Verado subdivision development that is being proposed in the Ustick and Locust Grove area (1115
zoning). The zoning and number of homes per acre are a major concern for us. With the number of
proposed homes per acre and their respective vehicles and visitor,, this will create major parking issues.
There is no plan for appropriate parking for the subdivision, which could cause more people to park in
our neighborhood. The influx of vehicles will impact the safety of our children going to school, not to
mention the safety of our neighborhood streets.
We also feel that this development is going to create a burden on traffic in the neighborhood.
With the extension of E. Kamay Dr. and N. Devlin Way, there is a probability that it will become a major
artery from Locust Grove to the new subdivision, which will greatly affect the safety of our children and
the tranquility of our neighborhood. Therefore, we propose that E. Kamay Dr. be extended, but N.
Devlin Way not be extended over the canal.
We also feel that the type and style of homes that are being proposed (R15) are not conducive
to this area, as it appears that it is set up to be rentals. Rentals in the neighborhood will reduce the value
of our properties. We would propose that all properties be owner occupied only. We believe the homes
that should be built in this area should be similar to those in the R8 zoning.
Ultimately we are not against development in this area, but we are against the number of
people and the amount of traffic that these tiny, extremely close lots will produce. We propose
increasing the size of the lots, reducing the number of homes to be built and including areas for parking.
We hope that you take our concerns into consideration.
Respectfully,
Robbie and Liam Gillmore
