Subject:Firenze Plaza development at the corner of S. Eagle Road and E. Amity Road
City of Meridian and Planning and Zoning Officials,
I am writing in concern for the proposed development at the corner of S. Eagle Road and E. Amity
Road. I know that my voice joins a chorus of many others who have already contacted you and your
respective offices.
My family; Minna, my wife, Harrison (age 15), and Matthew (age 12) moved to Tuscany about a year
and a half ago. While we love our home and our neighbors, I was surprised by the high amount of
traffic on both Taormina and Montegue Way. Now with the proposed development at S. Eagle Road
and E. Amity Road, I am starting to question the decision to live in this great neighborhood.
As a third generation Idahoan, Boise native, avid cyclist and general outdoor enthusiast, I sincerely
believe that South Meridian (or as I like to call it "So-MER" can be the next "mecca" for those looking
for a healthy, family oriented community. Unfortunately, the proposed development will benefit very
few individuals and negatively impact a GREAT number of families throughout Tuscany.
We have a fantastic opportunity to put something amazing at the corner of Eagle and Amity. We have
a chance to differentiate our community by building something that brings us together instead of
putting us at risk.
Summary of Concerns:
1. Decrease in property value due to proximity to proposed development.
2. Decrease in livability due to increase in traffic
3. Increase in health issues due to increase traffic
4. Decrease in safety due to increase traffic
5. Increase risk in safety for school aged children along roadways and at area bus stops.

6. Increase risk in safety for adults using walk paths and roadways for walking, running and biking.
7. Increase in crime due to proposed development.
