Subject: New Development on Amity and Eagle
Josh Beach,
I would like to express my concerns regarding the proposed development on the corner of Amity and Eagle. I live in the
Tuscany subdivision and this development will impact me and my family. I am very concerned about the increased traffic
that it will bring, especially on Montague. That street leads directly to the elementary school and everyday hundreds of
kids walk or ride their bikes to and from school. There is also a bus stop on the corner of Montague and Amity. The
proposed layout for the development shows townhouses being built near the bus stop. It shows Taormina being
extended as an entrance to the townhouses. If this happens all of the traffic in the morning from the townhouses will
come out onto Montague at the same time children are walking and riding their bikes to school. I have three children
and the increased risk this brings to my children is upsetting.
We recently built our house on Taormina and one of the reasons we chose this location was because of the safe
community. This will change with the increased traffic and noise pollution that the new development will bring. I think
the new development should be kept separate from Tuscany and the entrances to the townhouses and store should
come from Eagle and Amity to keep heavy traffic off of the community streets of Montague and Taormina.
Thank you,
Lisa Wadsworth
