II. ADOPTION OF AGENDA: Approved III, CONSENT AGENDA: - Approval of the minutes from the May 10, 2006 meeting.*(No mtg minutes for June) Approved - Review May/June 2006 Commission Actions: - No Action Taken at the May 10, 2006 Meeting and June Meeting was cancelled due to lack of quorum. Acknowledged IV. SOUTHEAST MERIDIAN FUTURE PROPOSED PARK SITES Kent Brown would like to discus the proposed park sites in Southeast Meridian. Discussed V. KIWANIS PARK OVERVIEW The commission would like to look at the overview ofKiwanis Pazk with the new acreage added. Discussed VL NEW PARK DEDICATIONS The commission will discuss the planning of the park dedications for both Season's Park and Champion Pazk. Discussed VII. ANNUAL PARK TOUR The commission will discuss changing the annual pazk tour from September to August due to shorter days and whether or not to have catered food at the end of the tour. Approved - August Meeting will be Annual Park Tour not regular scheduled meeting. CORRESPONDENCE AND OTHER INFORMATIONAL ITEMS AND DISCUSSION: - Meridian Youth Baseball Project was awarded to McAlvain Construction for $1,969,000.00. A budget amendment for additional impact fees of $280,000.00 to complete the project was also APPROVED by City Council on 06/06/06. Acknowledged - Parks Master Pathway Plan was AWARDED to Alta Planning and Design, Portland, Oregon, by City Council on June 22, 2006. * Acknowledged Contract and Scope of Work for Meridian Youth Baseball Complex with McAlvain Construction was APPROVED by City Council on June 22, 2006. * Acknowledged City of Meridian Parks & Recreation Commission Agenda -July 12, 2006 Page 2 of 4 All materials presented at public meetings shall become property of the City of Meridian.
