Subject: Petition to Stop Tuscany Neighborhood Road Extensions (Mt Etna)
Hi Ann Marie & Warren,
I wasn't aware of the October 26th deadline of written feedback for the upcoming November 3rd meeting, otherwise I would have done this petition
before that deadline. However, please find attached a petition with 94 signatures to stop extension of ANY and ALL potential Tuscany neighborhood
roads into the new development. This especially applies to Mt. Etna, which is the road currently in the plans to extend through to Eagle Rd. Additionally,
all of the signatures are from residents directly on or on adjacent roads to Taormina, Mt Etna, San Stefano, and S Burgo Way where the impact of added
traffic would be the greatest. I do want to add the caveat that residence from S Burgo Way (Zaldia pool) area aren't as represented in this petition due to
a lack of time this weekend to get over in that direction. However, I did get a couple of signatures from that area.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help stop this from happening. Residents in this area are very concerned about a potential
extension. The general consensus from speaking with all the residents over the past couple of days is to close off Tuscany from the new development
altogether with fence and landscaping.
I hope the ACHD and the zoning commission are really thinking this through with the already congested Eagle & Amity intersection.
