Scope of Services in Support of the Process Improvement Group Review of the
Amendments to the Zoning and Subdivision Code
The planning services that will be provided in support of the Process Improvement Group's
review of the Code amendments would be as follows:
1. Attend all meetings of the Group.
2. Prepare materials in advance of the meeting including an agenda, summary of
changes, comparison with the existing and proposed codes, and points for
focus discussion of the Group.
3. Take notes of issues and questions from the meeting.
4. Respond to questions and facilitate discussion at the meetings.
5. Prepare revisions to the draft Code as a result of the Group's comments.
6. Maintain a record of changes from the Group.
7. Communicate and coordinate with staff on progress of the meetings.
In anticipation of eight meetings at two hours length and an equal amount of preparation
and follow-up time, 32 hours are anticipated to complete this work. (32 hours @ $65/hour
= $2080, plus any out of pocket expenses to be authorized in advance.

Authorization for Additional Planning Services
This will serve as an addendum to the contract for on-call planning services associated with
the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance amendments, signed November 25, 2003 between
the City ofMeridiart and Diane Kushlan, Planning and Management Services.
Additional services were provided in the amount of ten (10) hours as a result of investigation
of trends and development of new code provisions for traditional neighborhood and
industtial uses. This work developed through the review of the existing code and the City's
newly adopted Comprehensive Plan, but was beyond the original scope of services
anticipated in the November 2003 contract.
