Dear City Officials,
My name is Catherine Martin and I own a home at 4253 S Overhill Rd. In the Bellingham Park community. I am OPPOSED
to allowing the developers of Paisley Meadows to use any street in our community for access to their development.
They need to creat an entrance on Amity. All they want is make money and are not concerned about the citizens of
Meridian. I've served for thirteen years on a Planning And Zoning Commission in Grapevine, Texas and know what
damage construction trucks can do to street in a subdivision.
The two or three houses they will lose by creating a nice entrance on Amity will not hurt their bottom line but the
damage to our streets will cost the City in repairs. Remember each new house will have a minimum of two cars entering
and exiting the neighborhood daily. We do not need the extra traffic.
Sorry I can not attend as I will be out of town.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

Josh,
I am writing to voice my opposition to the proposed subdivision "Paisley Meadows" by Hayden Homes, LLC as
it is currently proposed. I am a Bellingham Park resident, as well as a director on the HOA board. We currently
have very heavy traffic use of Wrightwood road, with Estancia, Bella Park and Tuscany subdivisions utilizing
this road. An addition of 75 homes using Wrightwood in Bellingham Park will cause much more traffic use as
well as major safety concerns. Wrightwood road already has many speeders, in excess of 50 mph. ACHD
refuses to acknowledge this speeding problem. There are many kids that live and play along this road, and
their safety is being ignored. Also, the amount of construction traffic that goes along with building will cause
more usage of Wrightwood. I feel that Hayden Homes should be required to add and entrance / exit off of
Amity to help alleviate the amount of usage of Wrightwood. ACHD should be required to do an impact study
to address the issues many of us in Bellingham Park have brought to their attention. Thank you.
Regards,
Dr. Todd Woodward

Below is a concern I received from a parent. Paisley Meadows is planning to connect to in Bellingham Park and not to
Amity at all. With only 1 entrance and exit to the neighborhood, traffic will increase in the walk zone greatly.
From a West Ada School District perspective having an entrance to the neighborhood on Amity will be beneficial for any
regular bussing at the high school and middle school level and special needs bussing at all levels. It expedites routes
when we have multiple entries from major roads. It will also increase safety for our students walking to school or bus
stops by decreasing through traffic. The district would love to see walking connections from this new neighborhood to E
Taormina Dr, S Asay Ln, and S Rangewood Way. This type of connectivity is always beneficial for students walking to the
school for school, events, and afterhours using the school as a park.

Dear Mr. Beach,
I read with interest the public notice regarding a new subdivision under
proposal in the vicinity of Amity and Locust Grove Rds.known as Paisley
Meadows. I understand that Hayden Homes has made this request from the
City for approval.
My concern is the use of existing streets in the Estancia and Bellingham
Park subdivisions to accommodate this development.
I am under the impression that this new community will have 75 homes at
full build out.
According to national averages, each home has 2.5 drivers per household.
At full build out that means that over 187 cars will be driving through
the existing neighborhoods to enter and exit the new community. This is
not acceptable! The current homeowners deserve a better environment than
this. We have children crossing streets and walkers navigating the
intersections. The added traffic is not conducive to the safety and
security we paid for.
I understand that an entrance/exit to/from Amity Rd. has not been offered
as resolution. My I ask WHY?
Is there an additional investment for the builder/developer that has made
this option a no-go.
I understand that Meridian is one of the fastest growing communities in
the State and that new development is a reality.
I urge the Council to re-address this matter. Builders and Developers will
still come in....even if it costs them more money. Please don't just hand
2
this project over as it stands. Please consi der the existing residents and
put their wishes and well being over the developers. This project will
still proceed,I am positive.
The builders can ( and will) recoup the cost for an Amity Rd entrance
through the sale price of the homes. The current homeowners can never
recover from the added traffic and unsafe conditions this project will
produce. Impact fees can not support the extra stress to our streets over
the life of this project. Please consider playing hard ball with these
developers and builders. They need you!! They will comply with alternate
suggestions.
I was a councilman in Indiana for two consecutive terms. When developers
approached us about large projects they had to support our first
responders with man power and equipment to support the growth. They had to
provide infrastructure upgrades (sometimes with recapture agreements) but
we NEVER gave them a total free ride. And yes....we also had impact fees.
If this developer needs to cough up a few dollars to the City or County
for Amity Rd. access....so be it.
Please be as loyal to the existing residents as you are to the developers
and builders.

The development as proposed should not be given approval.
I am a homeowner in adjacent Bellingham Park. Estancia and our subdivision both have large majorities
of homeowners with small children. We already have speeding vehicles cutting through to access another
Hayden homes subdivision.
There is ample road frontage on Amity Road to create an entrance for the 75 homes. That is way too much
traffic to force through adjoining subdivisions. Besides construction trucks, the long term daily
traffic of at least 150 cars, plus all visitors and delivery vehicles would place an unfair burden on these 2
adjacent neighborhoods. Hayden Homes would have to sacrifice a building lot to create an entrance and
blend into the community safely. That is a small contribution towards the long term benefit of three
communities in Meridian.

Good morning,
I am emailing in regards to the public hearing tomorrow night. I cannot make the meeting due to travel for business, but
I do have some concerns about the plans for the new subdivision and was told I could email this address.
My home is on the corner of the entrance that would connect Estancia and Paisley Meadows (PM). My biggest concern
is the fact the new plans have no access for PM from Amity Road. This will tremendously increase traffic by my home
and through our neighborhood as well as Bellingham, our neighboring subdivision to the north. At 75 homes with and
average of two cars per home, that increases traffic to 300 vehicles passing through per day (75 homes x 2 cars x twice a
day). Another concern is the noise pollution of the construction crews traveling through the neighborhoods due to he
fact those entrances will be the only way for them to get to the building sites. Both of the above also play a part of the
wear and tear of our neighborhood roads that PM will not be held responsible for if repairs at needed from the extra
traffic.
Thank you for the consideration of my thoughts and I ask to please be in formed on any changes that may affect this new
development's plans.
Thanks,
John Walker

Subject: Paisley Meadows
Good afternoon,
I would like to first thank you for speaking with me over the last couple weeks in regards to the proposed
development of Paisley Meadows at the end of our subdivision,Bellingham Park.
Second I would like to again express my concern over the proposed plans of Paisley Meadows using our
entrance as their main entrance which will connect off S Rangewood . We already have an exsisting issue with
speeders and have had a couple speed tests done unfortunately we currently don't qualify for speed bumps, I
would like to see another study done when the subdivision is completed or close to completion. With the
increase of traffic it also causes a great concern over the safety of the children in our subdivision that play
outside and cross Wrightwood to play at the park. It is my understanding that they will also have access through
White Bark that is a proposed subdivision going in on the N side of Amity via Marsala which will help alleviate
traffic in the future, however it doesn't help our current situation. I would like to ask that the developers have a
temporary construction access from Amity to use for ALL construction vehicles and that the developer post no
construction traffic signs at the entrance of E Wrightwood and S Glenmere. I understand that development is
inevitable, however the safety of our children and existing homeowners is a top priority. Thank you for your
time. I will be in attendance at the hearing and hope the concerns are heard.

Subject: Paisley Meadows and Amity Access
Morning,
I would like to voice my concern about the upcoming Paisley Meadows using the Estancia and Bellingham roads
for access. I live at 1916 E Grayson which is right off of Amity. I can't speak for the other entries but from what i
see happing at mine this is going to be a disaster. Cars come around the corner where Glenmere mets Grayson are
going to fast then realize they need to make a left hand turn and hit the median. Since there are no stop signs, I
have see near misses with people coming off of Amity and the Gleamere traffic. I know that I have to be careful
backing out of my driveway because of I can't see the folks coming around the corner. Then there are the kids. The
drivers are not looking out for them.
Please have Paisley Meadows install a road to Amity. If that is not possible please have speed bumps and stop
signs installed.
