HomeMy WebLinkAboutPZ - Petition from Neighbors - 6/22(3 PETITION TO DENY Pope's Garden H-2016-0006 (Revised) The undersigned citizens respectfully request that the Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission deny the application of Iron Mountain Real Estate to develop Pope's Garden H-2016-006 (Revised). This application is set for hearing on June 23, 2016. Development of this parcel as a Medium -High Density Residential property does not provide adequate transition from the R-1 residential neighborhood on the northern boundary of this site. Abutting R-1 and R15 properties up against each other is not supported in the Comprehensive plan and is not reasonable. Increased traffic caused by a Medium -High Density Residential development in this area will unduly impact surrounding residential areas. As proposed, development of this proposed site will also negatively and permanently set the traffic pattern at Magic View and Wells, which is already a dangerous intersection, as well as increase traffic there. Projects of this nature must consider effects upon established neighborhoods and critical infrastructure. We urge that this is this application be denied and future development be accomplished within the current Office designation.
