If it requires 20 gpm to operate the Clemmons Clearwater screen, the net water available to be used by the lots within the subdivision is 295 GPM. If a typical pressure irrigation system requires 8 GPM to operate, the number of lots that are able to irrigate at one time = 295 gpm/8 gpm per lot = 36.88 lots. If 36 lots can irrigate at one time, it will take 195 lots/36 lots per cycle = 5.4 cycles. We will use 6 cycles with an average of 2 hours per cycle. All irrigation of the buildable lots can be within a 12 hour period which is within the Settler's Irrigation Districts' specifications. The common area lots can irrigate at other times of the day. Except for the existing home on Yz acre in the Northwest corner of the site the other larger lots are between 65 and 70 feet wide. A 70 foot wide corner lot with the previously mentioned setbacks may have 3600 ft2 of landscaping to irrigate. The time required to apply .35 inch of water via sprinklers to 3600 square feet of lawn each day; (2.45 inches per week), at 8 GPM is as follows: (035 in * lft/12in) * 3600 ft2 = 105 ft3 108 ft' * 7.48 gallons/ft' = 808 gallons 808 gallons / 8 GPM = 101 minutes If the efficiency of the sprinklers is 65%, Then the time required to irrigate this lot would be 155 minutes, or 2.6 Hours. There are 25 alley loaded and mew lots with a width of 42 ft. and a depth of 100 ft. There are 18 single family attached lots with a width of 40 feet and a depth of 117 ft. there is no side yard landscaping on these lots. Lots of this size with the previously mentioned setbacks may have 1750 112 of landscaping to irrigate. The time required to apply .35 inch of water via sprinklers to 1750 square feet of lawn each day, (2.45 inches per week), at 8 GPM is as follows: (0.35 in * lft/12in) * 1750 ft2 = 51 ft' 51 ft3 * 7.48 gallons/ft3 = 382 gallons 382 gallons / 8 GPM = 48 minutes If the efficiency of the sprinklers is 65%, Then the time required to irrigate this lot would be 73 minutes, or 1.25 Hours The other lots within this subdivision are between 47 and 60 feet wide and 104 feet deep. Lots of this size with the previously mentioned setbacks may have 2650 ft2 of landscaping to irrigate. The time required to apply .35 inch of water via sprinklers to 2650 square feet of lawn each day, (2.45 inches per week), at 8 GPM is as follows: (0.35 in * 1 ft/12in) * 2650 ft2 = 78 ft3 78 ft3 * 7.48 gallons/ft3 = 584 gallons 584 gallons / 8 GPM = 73 minutes If the efficiency of the sprinklers is 65%, Then the time required to irrigate this lot would be 112 minutes, or 1.9 Hours Whiteacre Subdivision Pressure Irrigation System Rotation Schedule The following is an INITIAL pressure irrigation rotation schedule. The townhouse units and the alley loaded units are scheduled to irrigate for 1.25 hours, the larger lots, (over 60 feet wide and corner lots) will irrigate for 2.75 hours. All other lots are scheduled to irrigate for 2 hours. Each cycle consists of 36 lots except the last cycle which is only 15 lots. Since lot and block numbers may change during the course of subdividing this property, a very rudimentary map of this schedule is attached.
