BIRD, HOAGLUN, ROUNTREE, ZAREMBA
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN, APPOINTING JACK BORTON AS A YOUTH MEMBER TO THE PARKS
AND RECREATION COMMISSION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Meridian City Code Title 2, Chapter 3 establishes the Parks and Recreation
Commission, its members and terms of their appointments;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian recognizes and values the unique
perspective and input of the youth of the Meridian community as it pertains to parks and recreation
within the City, and to that end Meridian City Code § 2-2-3(B) states that a youth member may be
appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems the appointment of Jack Borton
to the Parks and Recreation Commission, for a term of up to one year; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That, pursuant to Meridian City Code § 2-2-3(B), Jack Borton is hereby appointed
as Youth Member of the Meridian Parks and Recreation Commission, for a term to expire on August
31, 2013.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption
and approval
