HomeMy WebLinkAboutPZ - Public Comments by Bill and Sally RiggsJune 13, 2016 RE: Bancroft Square Subdivision Application ( File # H-2016-0055 ) Dear Commissioners, Our home is located in the Sutherland Downs subdivision across from the proposed project. It is quite puzzling as to why there is such an urgent need for an apartment complex to be located on this very narrow, small piece of property . There are much larger parcels suitable for apartments south of Easy Jet. We already have the very large Gramarcy within a mile from here. We have a massive apartment complex being built to the west of us past the water park. And we have the proposed Movado subdivision north of us in Silverstone area that will have more area available for a project like this. Movado has at least two outlets to major roadways, higher density apartments on Easy Jet would only have one access which would create traffic issues. It is our wish that you approve the conditional use modification and rezoning request made for the Bancroft Square Subdivision with the exception that they provide some open space for those residents. Our common areas are private, owned and maintained with our HOA dues. The Bancroft Square subdivision would not have the negative impact on those houses that back up to this parcel.
