Dear Ms. Hall:
Your email has been received by the Mayor’s Office. We appreciate you contacting us to let us know of your concerns
for the proposed changes to development plan for the Knighthill project. I will forward your comments to our City Clerk
for the record and to be included in the packet the Mayor and Council members receive for the public hearing. Once an
application is made, Mayor and Council are only able to make comments during the public hearing.
I have copied Josh Beach, the staff member assigned to this project. He will be able to answer any questions you may
have regarding the Modification of the Development Agreement or the process.
Thank you for your comments and being part of the public process.

Subject: Chinden/Linder Apartment Complex Proposal
Dear City Council Members,
I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed zone change near Challenger School in Meridian on Chinden
near Linder. I strongly oppose yet another multi-level apartment complex at this location.
I have two young children who will soon be attending Willow Creek Elementary school and one of the top reasons
we moved to this area is because of the quality of the schools. However, Willowcreek (as well as Rocky Mountain
and Sawtooth and other nearby elementary schools) are already very overcrowded. This area is densely saturated
with residential properties and even more are being built right now. However, no new schools are being built to
2
accommodate the increase in students. These existing schools simply do not have the space to add the additional
children a large apartment complex will undoubtedly bring.
Several apartment complexes have already been built in this area. Enough is enough! Additional apartments will
also lower property values and change the nature of our neighborhood. Increased traffic will be a nightmare and I
don’t believe there is the road space to accommodate so many additional vehicles. Linder and Chinden is already a
busy and dangerous intersection, this will only make it worse!!
Please do not allow this proposition to pass. The residents of my neighborhood and those surrounding it are
counting on you to listen to the voice of the people and make the right decision.
Thank you.
