Dear Mr. Raine:
Your email has been received by the Mayor’s Office. We appreciate you contacting us to let us know of your concerns
for the proposed changes to development plan for the Knighthill project. I will forward your comments to our City Clerk
for the record and to be included in the packet the Mayor and Council members receive for the public hearing. Once an
application is made, Mayor and Council are only able to make comments during the public hearing.
I have copied Josh Beach, the staff member assigned to this project. He will be able to answer any questions you may
have regarding the Modification of the Development Agreement or the process.
Thank you for your comments and being part of the public process.

Subject: Lochsa Falls Appartment Consideration
Hello Esteemed Mayor and City Council Members,
I will be attending the Council Meeting this evening 3/1/16 to show my concern regarding the
proposed apartments near the north-east side of the Lochsa where I am a resident with my family. I
know that one of the many concerns regarding this project is how it will go against the
Comprehensive Plan's key community value number 4. which is "prevent school overcrowding and
enhance educational services.

I found the following video on the West Ada School Districts website that illustrates just a little bit of
the overcrowding that is taking place at some of the area schools but in particular Rocky Mountain
High School where two of my children have attended.

My kids would never be able to eat lunch at the school as freshman and sophomores because they
would be late to class if they wait in line, so we would have to make sure they packed lunch or bring
them something during the day. The overcrowding is a serious problem and adding an apartment
building would only cause that to grow more. I realize the district is working on new boundaries to
ease these problems, but lets not undo what they will fix by adding these apartments to an already
school bursting at the seems. Thank you for your time and consideration.
