Dear Mr. & Mrs. Reinhardt:
Your email has been received by the Mayor's Office. We appreciate you contacting us to let us know of your concerns
for the proposed changes to development plan for the Knighthill project. I will forward your comments to our City Clerk
for the record and to be included in the packet the Mayor and Council members receive for the public hearing. Once an
application is made, Mayor and Council are only able to make comments during the public hearing.
I have copied Josh Beach, the staff member assigned to this project. He will be able to answer any questions you may
have regarding the Modification of the Development Agreement or the process.
Thank you for your comments and being part of the public process.

Subject: Re -zoning for the property on Chinden and Linder
Mayor DeWeerd and City Council Members,
This email is in regards to the zoning of the property on the SW corner of Chinden and Linder. First we would like to
start out by saying, we appreciate your service to our city. We appreciate your time and efforts that you put in on behalf
of the citizens here in Meridian. We would like to voice to you our concerns in regard to the development of multi-
family apartments on the corner of Chinden and Linder. We were very upset to hear that this is quite possibly the plan
for the future of this property, especially since this land was essentially zoned for commercial. This will add more
congestion to an already congested Chinden and Linder. This will increase crowding to already overcrowded schools.
This will cause more speeding cars through our neighborhood of Lochsa Falls, being used as a pass through ( we already
have speeding issues and lots of kids around our neighborhood ) and not to mention this will lower the value of our
homes having now 2 apartment complexes in one square mile We moved into Lochsa Falls under the impression that
this was zoned for commercial not apartments and now to learn that you are considering changing this is very
disturbing. We already have too many a pa rtme nts/town homes going in all around us. We do not need anymore. Had
we known this was going to take place, we would not have moved here. We the members of Lochsa Falls are so upset!
It's times like these that we'd hope to be heard. You have things that matter to you and we have things that matter to
us. It would be nice if you could take care and listen to what us residents of Lochsa Falls are trying to say to you. Choose
us over the developers. There is so much room in Meridian. Why here? PLEASE, pretend as though you care and don't
allow this to happenM We love Meridian and want to continue loving it! We respect you as leaders, please respect us
as people/citizens of Meridian! M
Sincerely,
Mike & Jill Reinhardt
